Your first report

Your first report starts as soon as you finish setup and your plan is in place. It takes a few minutes, and it's the starting point every later report is compared against.

When it arrives

Once checkout confirms your plan, Bidhelm opens on the Overview and starts the report. You can follow it in three places:

  • Overview. The Getting started card shows First report with the stage it's at, like "Reading your account ยท step 1 of 6". When it's done, the line reads First report ready.
  • Chats. Bidhelm opens a chat called First report with a Building your first report card that ticks through each stage. When the report is done, Bidhelm posts what it found in the same chat.
  • Results. The sidebar link shows Working while the report is written, then New until you open it.

The six stages are: reading your account, sizing up your competitors, hunting open lanes and keyword gaps, finding gaps in your coverage, scoring account health, and building your 90-day plan.

When it's ready, your Overview's Needs you list shows Your first report is ready. Select Show report to open it, or Got it to clear the note.

What's in it

The report opens with a short summary, then The 90-day plan: what happens in Week 1, Weeks 2 to 4, and Months 2 and 3. If you connected both Google Ads and a social account, it's one plan for both.

Ads. The headline numbers for your Google Ads account:

NumberWhat it is
ScoreYour account's health, out of 100
Open gapsGaps in your coverage still open, with how many are critical
Spend, 30 daysWhat the account spent in the last 30 days
Conversions, 30 daysConversions in the same 30 days

Then the sections the account has findings for: Gaps, Searches you missed (to budget or to rank), Do this week, Keywords, Competition, The plan, Tests, Learned and Account health. A section with nothing to show is left out.

If your Google Ads account has no campaigns yet, the Ads section says so in one line: Bidhelm builds the first ones from your site and goal, inside your budget.

Social. If you connected an X profile, the report shows its last 30 days: Followers, Posts, 30 days, Views a post and Clicks to the site, then What to fix first and What's working. A profile with only a few recent posts gets a line saying there's too little to read a pattern from yet.

Every number comes from your account. One the report doesn't have is left out, never estimated.

After the first report

A weekly report arrives every Monday at 08:00 UTC, covering the week that just ended. It compares the week with the one before: your ads, what changed, searches, social and tests.

To find any report:

  1. Select Results in the sidebar. It shows how your account is doing since the last report, and what's true right now.
  2. In the Weekly reports card, pick a week, or select All reports to browse by month. Your first report is under Other reports.

Each report stays exactly as it was written. You can also ask Bidhelm in chat for a fresh report at any time.

Save or share a report

  • Download PDF at the top of a report opens your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF".
  • In the Sharing card, select Create link, then Copy link. Anyone with the link can read that report. It never shows settings or lets anyone change your account. Select Stop sharing to turn the link off. Only an owner or admin can share a report.

Common questions

Bidhelm tries again within the hour. If it still can't start, the report runs with Monday's weekly report.
