These Billing & Payment Terms explain exactly what BidHelm charges, how those charges are calculated, and when they are billed. Please read Section 3 carefully — your PRO fee is calculated on the budget you place under BidHelm's management. By upgrading to PRO you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Plan Overview
Free: $0 — no credit card required. Connect Google Ads, full account audit, view AI recommendations, and basic campaign insights. Read-only — no automated changes are applied to your campaigns.
PRO: $5.90/week base fee + 3% of your Managed Budget per week + AI usage fees (see Section 4). No monthly flat rate. No contracts. Cancel anytime. Full 24/7 autonomous AI optimization — campaigns are activated, paused, scaled, and restructured automatically around the clock by Alex AI. Full access to the Alex AI chat, AI-generated marketing material (ad copy, headlines, descriptions, keyword suggestions), budget scaling, keyword and negative-keyword management, waste elimination, winner scaling, CPA optimization, and performance reporting.
PRO is billed on a weekly basis.
2. How PRO Is Priced
Your weekly PRO charge is made up of three parts:
- Base fee — $5.90 per week. A fixed weekly fee that also serves as your weekly minimum. It is charged every billing week for as long as PRO is active, regardless of usage.
- Management fee — 3% of your Managed Budget per week. Calculated on the budget you place under BidHelm's management, as defined in Section 3. This is the core fee for running your account 24/7.
- AI usage fees. Small per-action fees that cover our AI infrastructure costs, passed through at cost with no markup (see Section 4).
In plain terms, your weekly charge is: $5.90 + (3% × Managed Budget for the week) + AI usage fees. There is no maximum cap — the fee scales with the budget under management.
3. What “Managed Budget” Means
“Managed Budget” is the total of the daily budgets of all campaigns that BidHelm manages on your behalf, across every Google Ads account you connect to BidHelm, summed over the days in a billing period. It represents the advertising capacity you have entrusted to BidHelm to monitor and optimize.
Billed on budget under management. Your 3% management fee is calculated on the total daily budget of the campaigns BidHelm manages for you — the advertising capacity you place under our 24/7 management.
Example. You place three campaigns under management with daily budgets totaling $1,000/day. In a given week, Google Ads delivers $600/day of actual spend. Your management fee is calculated on the $1,000/day under management — the full capacity BidHelm managed that week.
3.1 Campaigns included in Managed Budget
Managed Budget includes the daily budgets of:
- Active (enabled) campaigns — all currently running campaigns.
- Paused campaigns — paused campaigns are still monitored by Alex AI and may be activated, adjusted, or acted on at any time, so they remain under management and are included.
- All campaign types — Search, Shopping, Display, Video, Performance Max, and others.
- All connected Google Ads accounts, including client accounts you manage through BidHelm.
- Campaigns you have excluded from direct automation — monitoring still applies, so they remain under management.
3.2 Campaigns excluded from Managed Budget
- Removed / deleted campaigns — campaigns removed from Google Ads entirely are excluded from the billing period in which they were removed onward, because they can no longer be managed.
- Google Ads accounts that are not connected to BidHelm.
- Accounts you disconnected before the billing period began.
3.3 Currency
Budgets set in a currency other than USD are converted to USD for billing using a reasonable exchange rate at the time of calculation. All charges are made in USD unless otherwise stated at checkout.
3.4 Source of figures
Budget and spend figures are drawn from the Google Ads API. Google's API-reported budget and spend data, together with BidHelm's own billing records, are the authoritative reference for any billing question. We will provide a full breakdown of your Managed Budget for any period on request.
4. AI Usage Fees
In addition to the base fee and the management fee, PRO subscribers are charged small AI usage fees that cover our AI infrastructure costs. These are passed through at cost, with no markup.
- Campaign monitored — $0.08 / campaign / day. Each campaign under management scanned by Alex AI.
- Optimization made — $0.03 / optimization. Each change Alex AI applies (pause, scale, bid, etc.).
- Keyword analyzed — $0.007 / keyword. Each keyword reviewed by Alex AI.
- Search term analyzed — $0.005 / search term. Each search term reviewed by Alex AI.
AI usage fees accrue as the work is performed and are charged alongside your weekly base and management fees. If you pause PRO, AI usage fees stop accruing for the paused period. You can view a running estimate of your accrued fees at any time in your dashboard under Billing → Usage.
BidHelm reserves the right to introduce, modify, or remove AI usage fee line items at any time. Changes take effect upon update to this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated fees. It is your responsibility to review current fees before using features that incur usage charges.
5. Complete Fee Schedule
For quick reference, here is every charge that can appear on a PRO invoice:
- Weekly base fee — $5.90 / week. Fixed; also the weekly minimum.
- Management fee — 3% / week. Of Managed Budget (Section 3).
- Campaign monitored — $0.08. Per campaign, per daily scan.
- Optimization made — $0.03. Per applied optimization.
- Keyword analyzed — $0.007. Per keyword analyzed.
- Search term analyzed — $0.005. Per search term analyzed.
All amounts are in USD. Usage accrues daily and is invoiced once per weekly billing cycle (see Section 6).
6. Billing Cycle
PRO is billed weekly. Your billing week starts the day you activate PRO and repeats every 7 days. At the end of each period:
- We calculate your total Managed Budget for the period.
- We calculate your fee: the $5.90 base fee (always applied), plus 3% of Managed Budget, plus accrued AI usage fees.
- We charge your payment method on file through DodoPayments.
- You receive a billing confirmation by email.
If you upgrade from Free to PRO mid-week, your first billing period covers only the remaining days of that week and is pro-rated accordingly. Usage events are aggregated by our payment processor, so a charge may post 1–3 hours after the billing period ends.
7. Payment Methods
All payments are processed by DodoPayments, our regulated third-party payment processor. BidHelm does not store full card numbers. By adding a payment method, you authorize DodoPayments, on behalf of BidHelm, to charge your payment method on a recurring weekly basis for as long as PRO is active. You can update your payment method at any time under Billing in your dashboard.
8. Failed Payments
If a weekly charge fails, DodoPayments will retry the charge according to its standard retry schedule, and you will be notified by email. If payment remains unresolved after all retry attempts, your PRO access will be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid.
Suspension stops Alex AI from making automated changes but does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel explicitly in your dashboard. You remain liable for all outstanding amounts. The specific timing and number of retry attempts are governed by DodoPayments' policies, not BidHelm.
9. Pause & Cancellation
9.1 Pausing PRO
You may pause PRO at any time through your dashboard. When paused:
- Alex AI stops all automated optimization changes immediately.
- AI usage fees stop accruing.
- The base fee and the 3% management fee continue to apply to any portion of the current billing period during which your budget was under management before the pause took effect.
- Your account data and campaign history are fully retained.
- You can resume at any time — no new subscription is required.
9.2 Cancellation
You may cancel PRO at any time through your dashboard under Billing → Cancel PRO. Cancellation is immediate upon confirmation:
- No further weekly charges will be made after the current period is settled.
- Alex AI immediately stops making automated changes.
- Your account reverts to the Free tier.
- You remain responsible for all fees accrued up to cancellation, which are charged on the final invoice.
- Your campaign history and data are retained for 30 days.
Cancelling does not disconnect your Google Ads account. To revoke BidHelm's access entirely, do so through your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
10. Refund Policy
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, all PRO fees are non-refundable.
We do not issue refunds for:
- The current billing period after charges have been made;
- Any billing period prior to cancellation;
- Periods during which you did not actively use the Service;
- Periods during which Google Ads did not fully spend your Managed Budget (see Section 3);
- Dissatisfaction with optimization outcomes or campaign performance results.
Goodwill exception: At our sole discretion, we may issue account credits (not cash refunds) in the event of a verified total service outage exceeding 72 consecutive hours that is directly attributable to BidHelm's own infrastructure. Such credits do not create a refund obligation or precedent. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
11. Disputed Charges
If you believe a charge is incorrect, email billing@bidhelm.com within 30 days of the charge with your account email, the charge date, and the reason for the dispute. We investigate all billing disputes and respond within 5 business days.
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We resolve billing disputes quickly and directly. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us first may result in account suspension and do not guarantee a favorable outcome.
For any dispute over Managed Budget figures, Google's API-reported budget and spend data, together with BidHelm's billing records, are the reference point, and we will provide a full breakdown on request.
12. Price Changes
We may change our pricing — including the base fee, the management-fee percentage, and AI usage fees — at any time. For a material change to the base fee or the management-fee percentage, we will provide notice by updating this page and, where practical, by email to your account address. Such changes take effect at the start of your next billing period following notice. As described in Section 4, AI usage fee line items may change effective upon update to this page.
Your continued use of PRO after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing. If you do not agree to a change, you may pause or cancel PRO before it takes effect.
13. Taxes
All fees are stated exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar taxes arising from your use of the Service, except for taxes based on BidHelm's net income. Where BidHelm or DodoPayments is required to collect such taxes, they will be added to your invoice and charged alongside your weekly fees.
14. Your Responsibilities & Acknowledgements
By subscribing to PRO, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You control your budgets. You set and can change the daily budgets of your campaigns in Google Ads at any time, which directly determines your Managed Budget and therefore your management fee.
- Billing is based on budget. You understand and agree that the 3% management fee is calculated on your Managed Budget (Section 3) and applies to the budget under management for the period, independent of Google Ads delivery.
- You authorize automation, including budget changes. You authorize Alex AI to make automated changes to the campaigns and accounts you place under management — including activating, pausing, restructuring, and increasing, decreasing, or reallocating daily budgets. Because the management fee is 3% of your Managed Budget, when Alex AI increases a budget, both your Google Ads capacity and your BidHelm fee increase accordingly. You can set budget caps in your Google Ads account at any time to limit this.
- Set your own caps. We strongly recommend setting budget caps in your Google Ads account. BidHelm is not responsible for Google Ads delivery, overdelivery, or unexpected spend.
- No guaranteed results. BidHelm optimizes using algorithmic analysis and does not guarantee specific savings, ROI, or performance outcomes.
These Billing & Payment Terms form part of, and are governed by, the BidHelm Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between this page and the Terms of Service regarding billing, this page controls for billing matters.
